In medical facilities, disposable bed sheets are important items for ensuring hygiene and safety. They not only need to meet the basic usage functions, but also comply with strict hygiene and quality standards. So, how are disposable hospital bed sheets produced?
一.Raw Material Selection
The main raw material of disposable bed sheets is usually nonwoven fabric, which is characterized by being lightweight, breathable, low-cost and easy to process. The specification of nonwoven fabric shall not be less than 15g/m², and the longitudinal breaking strength shall be ≥17N, and the transverse breaking strength shall be ≥3N. In addition, some disposable bed sheets also use polyethylene film or toilet paper as the interlayer material to enhance water resistance and absorption.

二. Production Process Flow
1. Raw material procurement and processing
The first step in producing disposable bed sheets is to purchase high-quality nonwoven fabrics or other raw materials. These materials need to undergo strict quality inspection to ensure compliance with hygiene and performance standards. For products using polyethylene film, the thickness of the film should not be less than 0.004cm.
2. Cutting and forming
After the raw materials are purchased, they will be cut according to the specification requirements of the bed sheets. The cut bed sheets need to be edge-sealed to prevent the fibers from scattering. This process usually employs automated equipment to ensure cutting accuracy and efficiency.
3. Disinfection and sterilization
Disinfection and sterilization are the key links in the production of disposable bed sheets. Bed sheets need to undergo strict disinfection treatment to ensure sterility. Common sterilization methods include ethylene oxide sterilization. The residual amount of ethylene oxide after sterilization should not exceed 10μg/g.
4. Packaging and Labeling
After disinfection and sterilization are completed, the bed sheets will be folded and sealed for packaging. Packaging materials are usually plastic bags or paper-plastic bags to ensure the hygiene and integrity of the products. Important information such as the product name, specification, production date, sterilization method and expiration date will be marked on the packaging.

三. Quality Control
The quality control of disposable bed sheets runs through the entire production process. From the procurement of raw materials to the packaging of finished products, every step must strictly follow the quality standards. For example, the appearance of the bed sheet should be clean and smooth, without wrinkles, stains or damage. In addition, the product also needs to undergo multiple tests such as dimensional inspection, breaking strength test, and sterility test.
四. Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development
With the enhancement of environmental awareness, the production of disposable bed sheets is also constantly being optimized. Some factories have begun to use recycled fibers or bio-based materials as raw materials to reduce the impact on the environment. Meanwhile, energy conservation and emission reduction are also emphasized in the production process, such as the use of energy-saving lamps and solar panels.
