PBT elastic bandages feature high elasticity, softness and comfort, as well as good air permeability. They are suitable for various scenarios such as medical emergencies, operating rooms, rehabilitation centers and home care.
Production process
1. Raw material preparation
The main raw materials of PBT elastic bandage include PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) fiber, non-woven fabric and base fabric. These materials need to undergo strict screening and pretreatment to ensure their quality and performance.
2. Elastic treatment
The elastic treatment of PBT elastic bandages is a key step in the production process. Firstly, PBT fibers are superimposed with non-woven fabric and base fabric, and then subjected to lamination and heating treatment through a combination of heating and pressing rollers. This process is usually carried out between the heating drying cylinder and the pressure roller, and the pressure and temperature are precisely regulated by the control system.
3. Surface treatment
In order to improve the performance and appearance quality of the bandage, surface treatment of the elastic base fabric is required. The processing procedure involves coating a protective film on the outer surface of the elastic base fabric, usually using natural latex, deproteinized latex or synthetic latex. This protective film can reduce the roughness of the fibers, enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the product.
4. Coating and drying
After the surface treatment of the elastic base fabric is completed, a layer of adhesive needs to be coated on one side of it. The adhesive is evenly coated on the base fabric through the guide roller, and then through post-treatment and drying steps, it is ensured that the adhesive is evenly distributed and fixed on the base fabric.
5. Final packaging
After the coating and drying are completed, the PBT elastic bandage needs to undergo final packaging. The packaging process involves winding the bandage into a roll, then making fixed-width and fixed-length cuts, and finally packaging. Packaging is usually done individually to ensure that each roll of bandage remains sterile before use.

Production equipment and technology
The production of PBT elastic bandages typically employs highly automated production lines, which include humidification systems, hot air drying systems, and bandage winding systems. The equipment adopts electric heating and constant temperature control to ensure the uniformity of elastic treatment.
Quality control
Throughout the entire production process, quality control is the key to ensuring product performance and safety. All production steps strictly follow international quality standards, such as ISO 13485:2016 and CE MDR certification.
