Medical gauze refers to degreased gauze: it requires high-temperature disinfection and chlorine oxygen double bleaching. Used as medical supplies, etc. Specifically refers to those who have been disinfected and used to bandage wounds. To purchase legitimate medical gauze, its packaging has been disinfected before leaving the factory. As long as the packaging is intact and has not expired, it is safe. However, it should be noted that any unused gauze after opening the packaging is considered contaminated with bacteria. Yellow gauze, also known as oil gauze, is not only used for disinfection purposes. The medication on it has the effects of converging the wound, reducing inflammation, and preventing the gauze from sticking to the wound. Ordinary disinfectant gauze does not have these effects. If there is exudate from the wound, using ordinary gauze will cause the gauze to stick to the flesh and blood, and when removed, it will cause the wound to bleed again.
1. The composition of medical gauze: Medical gauze is made of mature seed cotton fibers that have not been repeatedly processed, spun and woven into plain cotton fabric, and then degreased, bleached, and refined into degreased gauze for medical use. Medical gauze products generally come in folding and rolling forms.
(1) Folding the gauze into bundles to the required size, then folding it with a folding board to achieve the desired layering, and finally packaging it in small packages.
(2) Roll the bleached gauze into one roll, with one, two, three, and four layers depending on the needs.
2. Usage: Mainly used as a disposable blood sucking and topical medicine for surgical procedures and home healthcare in hospitals and medical clinics.
3. Basic quality requirement whiteness: The whiteness of medical gauze should not be lower than 80 degrees.
4. Precautions for selection and use: When choosing medical gauze, first check the packaging label and product manual of the finished product. There are generally two ways to supply finished products from the factory, one is non sterile and the other is sterile. Whether leaving the factory in a sterile or non sterile manner, the manufacturer's product manual or packaging should clearly state it for the convenience of users to choose and use.
