To ensure that nursing staff have the best wearing experience during long hours and high-intensity clinical work, this guideline is specially formulated for reference and implementation by medical institutions and individuals when making purchases. The guideline standardizes the selection process of "comfortable nurse uniforms" from five dimensions: fabric performance, pattern structure, detailed craftsmanship, departmental compatibility and procurement management.
Fabric Properties
Fiber ratio
1.1 It is recommended that the cotton fiber content be ≥40% to ensure skin-friendliness and moisture absorption performance.
The remaining parts of 1.2 are made of functional fibers such as modified polyester, tencel or spandex, which endow the fabric with quick-drying, slightly elastic and anti-static properties.
Functional indicators
2.1 Air permeability: ≥180 mm/s (GB/T 5453-1997), ensuring good heat dissipation even after standing for a long time;
2.2 Antibacterial rate: ≥99% (AATCC 100-2012), reducing the risk of cross-infection within the hospital;
2.3 Resistance to industrial washing: After 300 cycles at 75 °C with 150 ppm of chlorine, the breaking strength retention rate is ≥80%, and there is no yellowing or deformation in appearance.

Layout Structure
Three-dimensional cutting
1.1 The shoulders, back, armpits and knees should be equipped with movable folds or arc-shaped sections to meet the needs of large-scale movements such as raising the arms, squatting and bending over.
1.2 Allow two fingers to relax at the waist, balancing a neat appearance and breathing freedom.
Ventilation design
2.1 Hidden breathable mesh or slits should be provided at the back or side seams to form air convection channels.
2.2 The mesh area shall be no more than 5% of the total garment area to ensure compliance with the anti-permeation requirements of the clean area.
Pocket configuration
3.1 3D bags are adopted, with a 30° arc at the bottom to distribute stress and prevent the hem from tilting after loading PDAs and scissors.
3.2 Add an invisible four-piece buckle or elastic edge to the bag opening to prevent items from slipping off when bending over.
Details and Craftsmanship
Stitching method: Four-needle six-thread or overlock stitching technique is used, with smooth seams and no raised or worn skin.
Identification treatment: Heat transfer printing is adopted for seamless label washing, eliminating the traditional sewn collar label and preventing neck itching.
Adjustable components: The waist circumference and cuffs should be equipped with elastic drawstrings or hidden buttons to adapt to fluctuations in body shape and seasonal changes in clothing.
Reflective safety: For emergency and night shift models, 5mm gray reflective strips should be added to the sleeve sides and hems, meeting the requirements of EN 471 Level 2.
Department Compatibility
Outpatient/General Ward: White or light blue, emphasizing high breathability and large-capacity pockets;
Operating room: Green or dark blue, short-sleeved, with priority given to antibacterial and antistatic indicators;
Pediatrics/Obstetrics: Soft pink, mint green. Hidden breastfeeding openings can be added.
Emergency/Night Shift: Dark navy blue or purple-gray, dirt-resistant, quick-drying and with reflective strips;
Winter outdoor sampling: Detachable double-layer structure, overall garment weight ≤ 300g, keeping warm while avoiding bulkness.

Procurement and Quality Management
Try-on verification
1.1 Select representatives from four body types: tall, short, pregnant, and strong. Perform five actions: shoulder hugging, squatting, bending over with hands in pockets, raising hands above the head, and side mirror examination to ensure there is no restraint.
After the action test is qualified, 50 industrial washing sample tests will be conducted. Only when the appearance and strength indicators meet the standards can the goods be delivered in bulk.
Size configuration
2.1 At least 2% of the total order volume must be reserved for extra-large and extra-small sizes to cope with personnel changes and the demands during pregnancy.
2.2 It is recommended that each person be provided with 3 sets (2 long and 1 short or 2 thin and 1 thick) to ensure they are clean and ready for use every day.
Document traceability
3.1 Suppliers must provide fabric inspection reports, garment inspection reports and washability certification.
3.2 Medical institutions shall establish batch files, assess the satisfaction of wearing and performance degradation on an annual basis, and use them as the basis for subsequent technical scoring in bidding.
