Sterile abdominal pads are used to treat large wounds or those requiring high absorbency. They feature a highly absorbent fluff pulp layer in the center, rapidly absorbing fluids and preventing accumulation in the wound that could obstruct surgical vision. The dressing's sealed edges and back design prevent fluid penetration. The blue barium line allows for clear visibility during surgery, preventing surgical errors due to obscured conditions.

Hemostatic Pad Features:

abdominal pads

1. Thickened padding for enhanced absorption: The inner core is made of high-quality imported fluff pulp, which quickly absorbs excess blood, sweat, and body fluids, preventing fluid accumulation during surgery and potentially impacting the surgical process.

2. Sealed edges prevent linting: High-pressure sealing is used at the edges to prevent linting between the non-woven fabric and the inner core during use, potentially damaging the patient's wound. Furthermore, absorbed fluid is securely locked within the pad to prevent secondary leakage.

3. The PP hydrophilic and water-repellent non-woven fabrics help remove excess fluid while preventing re-leakage of absorbed fluid. The soft, comfortable material reduces friction and can cause further damage to the patient.

4. Barium wire helps to clearly observe the surgical site and determine the surgical direction when the surgical field of view is blurred. After the operation, the barium wire can be used to track the relevant pad to prevent it from being left in the patient's body and causing potential risks.

5.Sterile Packaging: Each belly pad is individually packaged to maintain hygiene and reduce the risk of contamination.

How to Use?

First Aid Hemostasis
• For open abdominal wounds such as stab wounds and gunshot wounds, apply direct pressure to reduce arterial/venous bleeding and buy time for transport.
• For hepatosplenic rupture, apply pressure to reduce the risk of persistent intra-abdominal bleeding.

Surgery
• After cesarean sections, laparoscopic/open surgeries, apply pressure to the incision to reduce oozing, hematoma, and subcutaneous fluid accumulation.
• Secure the dressing to prevent excessive tension on the incision during coughing or turning, reducing the risk of dehiscence.
• Moderate pressure can also relieve postoperative pain and promote uterine contractions.

Precautions for Use:

1. Choose the appropriate size and apply pressure correctly: Select the appropriate size based on the wound size and actual bleeding volume. Then, press the hemostatic pad onto the wound and observe the bleeding.

2. Maintain pressure and avoid frequent checking: Maintain firm pressure on the abdominal pad and avoid lifting it frequently to check.

3. If the product is covered with blood, immediately apply a new disposable hemostatic pad and continue applying pressure. Do not remove the old pad.

4. If heavy bleeding persists and the hemostatic pad is ineffective, immediately implement a more appropriate hemostatic method to prevent the patient from fainting due to excessive blood loss.
